I know I am!! I am very patiently waiting for my topper to arrive however! AAHHH, I ordered it over a week ago and it has not yet found its way to me! I do so hope that it will get here in time or I will have to get very creative with my 'hanging'!! LOL I am set to Hop on Tuesday!!  So grab a button and come hop with us! Comfort Quilt

I finished up the two wonky pounds for Brandie! They are in the mail! I finished the Whirly Gig and it is also on its way across the pond!!
My two for comfort quilts are done, I bought batiks for the first time ever. I am not really into them, but she requested 'ocean blues' and to me batiks scream water! I hope they work for her! :)
I have also been working on... I can't show you because it is for the Hop!! What hop you ask... well check out the list in the morning!! I am going to be table top hopping along with some other very talented quilters!! I finished one, but was really not happy with it! The only thing we were told is it has to be in your heart! Well I tell you it was a butterfly and they are just not in my heart! So back to the drawing board i went and I am loving the new choice! I have to get the binding on and hope like the dickens that the stand I ordered over a week ago gets here on time!! AAHHHH!!! LOL
 OK I will tease you a little, ready...

Magnolia Buds

OK, I got one check item done while the littles were asleep.
Here is back story, sorry y'all know I have to! My Dad teaches bridge at a Sr. center. He plays with a lady named Joyce. He had mentioned to her that I quilt and she told him about the Mississippi Valley Quilt Guild. Dad had not payed attention when I had told him I already belonged to the guild! Anyway, because my Dad said so I looked for her at one of our meetings (I am that kind of gal) and she is in charge of our block to raffle program. The way ours works is the guild supplies instructions and background fabric for $.25 a block. You supply everything else. We, as a committee, cut the fabric and ready the supply. We sell them for two months on the third month they are to be turned in and the fourth month we draw from whoever put in a block and if you win you get 20 (or so) blocks! You get your name put in once for every block you do. This last time we cut 225 'blocks'. All but six sold and Joyce bought the remaining ones. But since she had already done like 20 she gave them to me. ggrrrr. Oh, how did I became part of the committee when I had only been a member of the guild for three months you ask, well Joyce was going to be unavailable for evening meetings and she called me and I do not know how to say NO!! LOL So, help I will!!
The Magnolia Bud blocks are 8 inch finished. Guild supplied background and we asked that they be pinks and the 'throat' be a deep pink/fuchsia colour. MINE ARE DONE!!! LOL

Oh, prayer request. One of my Littles (Miss Ella) has a grandfather who has had a stroke on Tuesday. He is a very active guy and was three states away from home gassing up his RV when it hit him. (Thank the lord they were not driving) He is in a strange state, with his wife, in a strange hospital.  His sons have driven down to be with him and Mom and things are looking like it was very minor. They now have to decide how to get him (an the RV) to a place called HOME!

April Checklist

Wow, just a food for thought and collecting mine!
Can I fist say I was SO kicking myself in the behind last night! I need to remember to take my camera to my guild meeting! Last night our speaker was Bonnie Hunter. Her quilts are amazing and she is a very charismatic speaker! I was in tears at the end! (I know shush, I am a crier) But she really spoke to me!! I wish I had had more time to LOOK at her quilts and I SO wish I would have been able to do the retreats! NEXT TIME! She has to come back to see us! Oh, I do think I have mentioned before the retreats are TWO blocks from my house!!!!! YUP! I know I have mentioned that I am a hermit and do not often get out! Now do you see what I am sayin! TWO blocks and I cannot make it there! Sheesh!!

OK I think I have more time this weekend so I have to make myself my to do list!!
1) Bee Creative April for Brandie (UMMM Done just need a siggy block!)
2) We Bee Learning April Block ( has not yet been posted)
3) Comfort Quilts April Block (need to go to the fabric store I do not have the right colours)
4) Mini for the Sew We Quilt Blog Hop (not sure what I am going to do! Be sure to look for me on the17th)
5) Get my Bloggers BOM done for March It is the only thing I do that comes out at the end of the month, but for me that translates to the beginning of the next month!
6) do the stupid magnolia bud blocks... OK so I was sucked into helping with the BOMish thing we do for our guild. Really it is a BO every third M LOL. The last one was a Magnolia Bud and they are due next month and then they will have a drawing. We sold all but the last six that we cut. Well Joyce bought them and because she had already made like 20 herself she gave them to me. I am not a flower gal and am not really a fan of the block. BUT I WILL DO IT! Because I said I would and that is just the kind of gal I am! LOL
The next one is a stupid Butterfly block (now ask me how I really feel LOL) and I already did two of those and am not a fan of those either.
7) decide on a back for Ad Lib and get that bad boy sandwiched and START IT!!! :) I can do it, I can do it, I CAN DO IT!!

I think that pretty much covers it!! Not really that much! I think I have a free weekend ( I know it is Easter and all, but Honeyman has to work on Sunday so we are not really doing anything, I don't think!

OH, On a side note... We pulled out the camper last night for her maiden 2012 voyage!! AHHH I love my camper! But, here I am at home because I have the littles today!

If anyone guessed the pattern is Impromptu by Rachel Griffith however I do have to be very clear mine is gonna look different because I was working with my stash and what I already had!! She used a layer cake (I only wish I had one of those in my stash) and I was working with the four inch squares I get from doing the greatest swaps EVER!! And then since I used four inch square there I chose not to cut the squares in the bigger ones ten inches I do love the proportion of her quilt! So I did take my own liberties in this guy! But hers was my inspiration! I have had it sitting in my list of LOVES for some time now! (OK since the post went up on her page on 21 Oct 2011) The big squares were also just things i had in my stash and most of them were 1/4 yard cuts, yet another reason I could not make them 10 inches!! LOL Oh, and not all that long ago I had gone to the store and after having a very difficult time finding white on whites I bought like SEVEN Five yards cuts of white on white! You can ALWAYS use that right!!! 
So since mine is inspired by her pattern and I did NOT follow the directions (hehe imagine that me NOT following directions!!) I am calling mine Kinda, Sorta, but not Really! I crack me up! Besides I didn't know another word for Impromptu... I guess I could open up the Thesaurus

March RMQ Challenge

Gonna keep this short and sweet. I cannot say that i am very proud of this months results and I am a day late getting them up but to be honest to me I had to get them on here! I did an awful LOT of doodling and I do think that my doodles turned out much better than the stitchin! Oh well!! Here they are!

I would reply something like... wait I have no excuses! NONE!! LOL!
I had the stuff!! Is that an excuse?? See all of these fabric swaps I do they have these brilliant little four inch square and even though the pattern I am kinda, sorta, but not really making, following, using as inspriation, calls for a layer cake... I decided I can improvise!! This morning however I had to admit I told EllBelle that my thinker was not working properly! She asked if she could kiss it and make it all better! Bless that little angel!!

Anyone know what I am doing??

So the DNP I do have to put one more row of sashing around. I thought about just leaving them at this odd 11 inch finished size... but I like to use my big old 12 1/2 inch ruler to square them up WAY to much!! SO! Oh, and  the center squares in the big square were a 10 inch, but since I was using quarter yard cuts that I alread had, mine were cut to 8 1/2 inch! Use what you have!!
Oh, I love this pattern!! I will tell y'all what it is when I get a little closer to done and I do so hope I have done it a little bit of justice!!


On a side note I just have to make a complaint an observation! I love the spring! I love the smells, the weather, the flowers! I alos love to have my windows open! but... HEY, next time y'all go to buy a house and you are told it is in a quiet neighborhood or that it is an elderly neighborhood, can I translate that for you if you have very small children or infants!! That translates to everyone in the neighborhood mows their lawn between the hours of 12:30 and 2:00!! No, really!! I have five neighbors who I believe to be on a five day cylce thoughout the week and have banded against me!! I have to run around my house and make a MAD dash to close the windows just to be sure that the little ones have not woke up from their naps!! Wow, why can I not live in a neighborhood where everyone works during the day!! LOL Leave me here to watch the nighborhood! OR, better yet I would LOVE to be in the country!! (but when we moved here Honeyman was on a restriction where we could live because of his job)
OK thanks for humoring me with that last little bit of conspiracy theory! LOL!
